I was wandering thru perplexity,
trying to find my way.
Stumbled
over my own misdeeds
and unforgiven
misgivings to land in a pool of self-pity...

But,
where did all of this
get me?
Almost drowned
in my sorrows.
Dreaded the coming
of tomorrow.
To have to face myself
and another day,
had become a burden.

And all of this,
I confess
while I stand before you;
full of self-accountability
for who I am not -
for all
that made me who I am
and what I am to become.
This all took place yesterday,
when I survived the challenges.

It was yesterday,
when I went in search of myself.
And when I got there,
God
was waiting.
